Model-T, one-pickup, Sonic Blue finish Here is another new
color option for the Model T - a rather nice vintage style Sonic blue.
This particular guitar has the optional dot fingerboard inlays. It has
a Voodoo P90 and a Wilkinson bridge. The body is very light Philippine
Mahogany which is a very resonant and vibrant wood. A great sounding,
and practical guitar! |

Model T,
Black Limba
(original)
The Model T is a great, basic rock-and-roll guitar |

Model-T, two-pickup, Black Limba, With the addition of a second P90 pickup, the tone-range of the T is suddenly increased. Rather than using two soap -bar P90s, as is more traditional, I kept the original dog-ear bridge pickup so that I could still use the sculpted pickguard shape. The Black Limba is a very interesting looking wood - I've taken some new pictures here to try and show the unique grain patterns that this wood contains. A great sounding guitar! Model-T, TV Yellow finish
This Model-T takes a giant step back in time with a
classic 50's finish. It has an ultra-light Philippine body that gives
it the most amazing sustain. The P90 pickup sounds truly
vintage. It has a Rosewood fingerboard with a neck joining the body at
the 22nd fret for total access. Plug this guitar in, turn it up
and play, and you'll understand why "simple" definitely works! |

Examples of Model T Deluxe, Drop-tops |

The T Deluxe is a logical extension to the Giffin T range. It places this line between the Model Ts and the Standards. The main difference is, of course, the figured tops. It allowes me to produce an entry level hand-made guitar with the look of a more expensive instrument. The Maple tops on the Drop-tops seen above are bent around the arm contour which is a comfort feature preferred by some people. The Maple is out of necessity fairly thin (about 1/8 of an inch), and it doesn't make a lot of difference to the tone of the T. These guitars are available with humbuckers or P90s, pickguards or no pickguards. They come in any of the regular range of woods that I use on the other Model Ts. |

Here are two examples of the Flat-top Deluxe T. The main difference between these and the Drop-tops are the absence of the arm contour and the much thicker wood on the front (about 1/4 -3/8 inch) This does make a difference to the overall tone of the instrument making it sound a little "closer" to a Standard. These guitars are also available in the regular range of woods used for the T. Pickup and hardware choices are the same as those available for the Standard 6-strings and the other Model Ts as shown below in the spec. boxes. (The tops on these two guitars were one-offs - very unusual pieces) |
