NEW DESIGN!

I've been very busy over the last couple of months working on a couple of new projects.  Here is one of them!  It's my latest design for a new single cut.  The guitar in the picture is only a working prototype, hence the odd mish mash of parts, the Maple fretboard (that I had lying around), and the spray-can finish.  This prototype was made to check the overall feel and apearance, and also because it's better to see a three dimensional item than a two dimensional drawing.
After much scribbling and erasing back and forth, I came up with this shape which I feel has all the properties I was looking for.  I tried to combine the traditional, classic lines and functionality, but with a slightly more streamlined feel to it.

I've kept the hardware and electrics deliberately simple, as this is indended as a straight-ahead rock 'n roll guitar.   The single volume control falls nicely under your finger when you rest your hand on the bridge, and the pickup selector is just a flick of the finger away.  On the production versions, I will make other pickup and control options available for anyone who so wishes.

The carving on the top is much more deeply dished than my Standard or even the Valiant.  This should make for some interesting effects when one carves a highly figured piece of wood for a top.   I'm going to add this guitar model to my regular product line, and as soon as I have a finished product available, I'll make a separate page showing the guitar in full detail.   Stay tuned!
